Bricknell Motorsport Launch 2008/09 Sprintcar Season in Style                             1-10-2008

The Tasmanian based Bricknell Motorsport team last night (Tuesday, September 30) at the Country Club Casino in Launceston officially launched the 2008/09 Sprintcar season in style.

In a lavish and professional manner, the Bricknell Motorsport team, headed by driver Jamie Bricknell and team owner and manager Steve Bricknell, announced their plans and main sponsor draw winner for the upcoming season.

The main sponsor draw for the # 55 TAS Maxim’s for the upcoming season was won by the Launceston based Giraffe Excavations.

“We are proud to have Giraffe Excavations as our main sponsor for the new season and it’s great that they have come onboard and have them as our raffle sponsor winner,” expressed Steve Bricknell.

“There were close to 20 local businesses that went into the draw to be the main sponsor for this coming season.

“This was an idea that was thought up by some members of our team in order to attract more sponsorship revenue and it has proved to be a great success.”

The entire night was a complete success with a good roll up of sponsors, team members and fans of the Bricknell Motorsport team, and the # 55 TAS Maxim’s of Bricknell certainly looks like a million dollars.

Special thanks must go out to Andrew Stride for his ‘MC’ efforts on the night,

All of the businesses that missed out on winning the draw will have their logo placed on the Bricknell Motorsport transporter and also on the soon to be launched official Jamie Bricknell website, posters, and all future media releases.

Sponsors for the Bricknell Motorsport sponsor draw included: Giraffe Excavations, JAX Tyres, Exide Batteries, JF Machinery, Radiators Plus, Altegra Marquees, BP Top Drop, Snap-On Tools, Central Wholesale Wreckers, A.B.E.L Landscape Supplies, Tarmac Dragway, Phil Davey Sheetmetal, Glen Donnellan, Jail House Grill, Launceston Powder Coating, Longford Bodyworks, and All Sorts of Treats.

The 2008/09 Sprintcar season is set to kick off at Carrick Speedway with a two night show on the weekend of November 1 and 2.
